Big Girl goes to Preschool
Today was Allegra's first day of "preschool". We're doing a mom co-op like we did for Aurora with five other families. I was lucky mom number one. This was probably a good thing since Allegra has major separation anxiety still. (She hasn't been in nursery by herself in three months!) Next week is at Auntie Tammy's so hopefully that will be okay and by week three, she'll be cured, right?
How could this cute girl have such a hard time letting go of mom?
A Taste of the Museum
Saturday I took the girls to the Nasher Sculpture Museum's free family day.
Aurora really enjoyed the family tour, storytime, and live artist. Allegra, well, wasn't having the best day. It was hot (being mostly outdoors this time) and crowded and we couldn't have snacks and we couldn't touch anything. Really, if the bronze sculpture is sitting outside in the elements, you'd think it could withstand a few fingerprints!
Mom wasn't so happy about the $6 half PBJ with the crusts cut off. But, it has potential and the girls want to try again. But next time, we all decided to bring our own lunch.

Allegra and Daddy
This is a story from Mark when he took Allegra with him to buy some work shoes:
Allegra: No Daddy, those shoes don't fit you. Those shoes are for grownups.
Mark: Am I a grownup?
Allegra: No, you're a daddy!
Mark: When will I be a grownup?
Allegra: I don't know!
