A Breakfast Blessing

Today was the first time Aurora said the blessing on the food by herself:
"Hi Father. Thank you for this day. (something something something) Love Princess Aurora song. (something something something). In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Love it!

Six Weeks

It's been six weeks since Allegra was born and I can hardly believe it! She's getting so big (no, I don't know how big) and her little cheeks are so chubby. She's a great baby--only waking up about once a night and then goes right back to sleep. I am so lucky!

Here she is doing push ups. She's working on her figure already!

She cracks me up

I just love some of the things that come out of Aurora's mouth!

"I . . . like . . . my. . . face. I . . . like . . . my . . . nose."

"Raisins have brown eyes."

"Allega like's Aurora's forehead. Allega like's Aurora's knee" (while sticking those body parts in Allegra's face. Allegra is very patient with her.)

And then there was the time Aurora fed Allegra a carrot. Okay, not so funny, but at least she was sharing, and Allegra has a good gag reflex.

Here's Aurora looking at the coupons with Mommy. Of course, she only wanted to look at the Baskin Robbins coupons.

And for those of you who think she's perfect, check out these tattoos.

And then sometimes she just amazes me. She's been wearing Huggies diapers for a while and Allegra wears Pampers. But I got some Pampers for Aurora and the first time I put one on she said, "That's baby sister's diaper." When I told her that it was her diaper, she said, "That's a new diaper." I can't believe she was paying that much attention to diapers!

I'm back!

Okay, so you're probably assuming that I haven't posted in forever because I've been so overwhelming busy with a new baby. Well, that's not exactly true. Having two kids hasn't been as challenging as I expected. (Of course, now that I've put that statement in print, it's sure to change!) Allegra is a great baby. I'd appreciate it if she slept through the night, but then again, she'd appreciate if I didn't fall asleep halfway through feeding her. I've really got to come up with a better solution! Anyway, we have been very busy having a new baby and I wish I had pictures to go with everything. If you do, please send them to me!

*Aurora went to the beach for the first time in California with G&G T and Auntie Annie and Spencer.

* The next day Aurora and Mark went to Knott's Berry Farm with Nana, Auntie Kristin, MacKenzie and the Edwardsons.

*Opening Ceremonies of the Summer Olympics in Bejing. No, we didn't go, but we had our own celebration watching them on TV and eating Panda Express. These are pictures of some of my favorite parts.

* My cousin Ashley came home from her mission in Croatia so we went to Lancaster for welcome home party and "homecoming" talk. Boy did she have some amazing stories!

* We decided to switch cable companies and ended up having a cable guy "living" with us for two days.

* At the same time we got a nasty computer virus. If anyone get's the "Antivirus XP 2008" virus, try www.bleepingcomputer.com. It saved us!

* The girls and I went to Descanso Gardens with G&G T and Auntie Annie and Spencer for Thursdays at Twilight. We had a picnic and tried to hear the Pasadena Pops practice (try saying that five times fast!) All I can say is FABULOUS!
* I managed to get the girls to church by myself for Allegra's first day at church. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but boy, did I feel like a pack mule going through the parking lot!
