For the second time in six months we made another trip to the ER with Aurora. Mark got a call while at work from her preschool, "We found Aurora unconscious on the playground. We don't know how long she was down. She has a temperature of 103.3 and is unresponsive. We're sending her by ambulance to the hospital." Mark ran out of work and met the ambulance which he followed down to Children's Hospital in Dallas. Meanwhile, I return home from running errands, check the phone and see that there are six unanswered calls from Mark and the school, and call Mark to see what's up. I jump back in the car, drop Allegra off at Keri's and drive like a maniac downtown, get lost multiple times (as usual) and finally get there to find that everything is fine. She had a febrile seizure which just means she had a fever that when up too fast (probably because she was playing on the playground, wearing a sweater and heavy jacket on a nice day) and passed out. There are no repercussions or side effects. They do run in the family so I was aware of them, but they stop occurring by age five so we thought we were off the hook. Anyway, she was back to normal by the time we got home that afternoon, even though we wish she was a little groggy because we were wiped out! What a way to spend a Thursday afternoon!

California, Here we Come Part 2
Part 2 started with a relaxing Saturday with Nana and Papa. Papa loves to take the grandkids to Tiny's for ice cream.
"I like ice cream, Nana!"
Sunday we got to visit all our old friends from church. It was so great to see everyone and with the reception, we felt like royalty! That night we had dinner with the Murphy family. They had just gotten back from a Mexican cruise. Why did I forget to take out my camera!
Monday, Papa took the day off work, and we went to Travel Town to check out the old trains.

Tuesday we went to the park with our best friends. Aurora really misses Keira and Allyse (even if she isn't showing it in these pictures).
They're moving to Boston this month and we're so excited for them, even though we don't know when we'll be able to see them next.

Wednesday we went to the LA zoo with Nana, but all pictures are on her camera so Nana, when you read this, send me the pictures! Thanks for a very fun visit. We love you and miss you!

California, Here We Come Part 1
There's no place like home! I can't believe we missed snow two days before. Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore!
The girls love dancing to Grandpa's magic piano, just like I used to at my grandparents house.
Fun times playing with cousin Ella! Too bad cousin Spencer was sick.

Yum, it wouldn't be a California trip without InNOut! We can't wait until it comes to Allen!

Thank you for a wonderful trip to Disneyland GandGT!

She looks so grown up!

The weather was beautiful but it did get a wee bit nippy by the end of the night!
We went to get gelato with GandGT at the mall the next night.

There aren't too many bears like this in Texas!

So long Grandma and Grandpa. Have a great time on your vacation. Thanks for a fun week. We'll miss you!
