Where I've been lately . . . (aka Why I'm not posting)

1. I'm working for real now. Not just "here and there" like I thought I would. I have my own show, "The Secret Life of an American Teenager". It was an offer too good to pass up. And while at first the subject matter disturbed me, I've come to realize not all teenagers are as sheltered as I was and it's important to talk about these things. I'd recommend it for teenagers 14+ to watch with their parents.

2. Christmas--both Pre- and Post-
We were lucky to have all the Lisonbees in town which made for tons of fun, food, noise and craziness. We miss them already!3. A trip with the girls and Grandma and Grandpa to Palm Desert including a stop for a "big boy":It was too cold to swim but we still played at the park:
They have an awesome Children's Museum that Aurora loved:Especially the mini grocery store--I literally had to drag her out screaming. Not one of our finer moments.4. A trip to the LA Zoo. Aurora's favorite was the elephant:Thank goodness Carly and Kalei came along to "baby wrangle"! They were a huge help!
5. Allegra's first solids--so far she's not real thrilled with rice cereal and avocados are a definite no. Now that Allegra is eating seven times a day most of our day revolves around food.
Luckily(?) Aurora loves to help.6. And our biggest most busiest news--Mark got called as Elder's Quorum President today. Yikes! Just when I thought things couldn't get crazier!

Snowman Party!

We had tons of fun at play group at my house today. We made Snowman Pretzels:(What they were supposed to look like if we hadn't eaten them before taking pictures)
And California Snowmen Quesadillas:We were particularly impressed by Issac's snowman's eyebrows. We were having so much fun, we didn't even get to Pin the Nose on the Snowman or sing a rousing rendition (or six) of "Once there was a Snowman." Maybe this will be an annual tradition. Thanks for coming everyone!
