First Stop: Preschool!
Aurora was so excited to show Grandma and Grandpa her preschool class.
Allegra was so excited to show them her house!

Then we were off to the Pumpkin Patch for Aurora's class field trip.
The girls loved feeding the animals.

It was soooo cold! Keri was well prepared for the hay ride.

I was not.
Pumpkin patch pictures are the cutest!

Welcome Grandma and Grandpa!
Grandma and Grandpa finally came to visit us on Grandma's birthday. They got in just in time for our favorite bedtime ritual--story time! And who better to read than the woman who taught me herself! Don't let Aurora's sour face throw you off. She was just upset she had to go to bed instead of spending more time with Grandma and Grandpa!

Watch out Rough Riders . . .
there are some new girls in town!
Mark's hospital had a work party for the families at Rough Rider stadium in Frisco. It's an adorable stadium (I guess only I would say that)and we can't wait to go back for a game in the summer. But that morning they had face painting, hot dogs, Bingo, bounce houses and a visit from their mascot (I'm really not sure what it is!)

Auntie Sue Day 4
We were so exhausted after the zoo that we had a slow Saturday. We crafted all morning, then had a nice relaxing picnic at Bethany Lakes Park.
There are so many ducks to feed around here!
More crafts in the afternoon. Auntie Sue treated us to pizza for dinner. And the next day we took her to airport for a tearful goodbye. What a wonderful visit. Thank you so much Auntie Sue! Come back soon!

Craftapalooza
Auntie Sue came so prepared. She brought tons of crafts for us to do, complete with supplies! The girls loved making these spiders. I was amazed by Allegra's agility. She get's that from me!
Aurora shows how scary her spider is.

Allegra is a little ham. When she realized how funny we thought her "vewee scawee" was. she used it to describe everything!

Auntie Sue Day 3
Of course, we went to the zoo. I can be quoted as saying that day, "The zoo is the perfect place. Relaxing for me. Exhausting for my children. What a perfect combination!"
Auntie Sue treated us to lettuce to feed the giraffe. Coolest experience ever!
Glamor Shots!

Yes, it scares me that my four year old looks like a teenager talking on a cell phone. She's been doing it since she was 18 months!
Aurora's favorite animal may be a giraffe, but her favorite exhibit at the zoo is the albino alligator. Complete meltdowns occur if it is not included in a zoo trip. I have to admit, it IS really cool.

And just as cool is Allegra's description of it.
In case you didn't catch that, "Eeetz veweeeee scaweeeee!" ("It's very scary" for those of you who don't speak Allegra-ese.)

Auntie Sue Day 2
Thursday Aurora had preschool and was so proud to show Auntie Sue her classroom. Maybe next time she can stay and watch! Allegra and I took her to storytime at the library and picked out LOTS of books (hence all the reading). That afternoon, per Auntie Sue's request, we went to Sonic for Happy Hour Cherry Limeade. Just another wonderful thing about living in Texas!
Of course, we had to take her to Rudy's for Texas Barbecue. And she loved it!

And Allegra loved the potato salad . . . again!

Visit From Auntie Sue Day 1
One of the things we miss most is living near family. We were so excited to have our first over-night visitor from my side of the family--my famous Auntie Sue! We had been so excited for her to come that Aurora named the guest room, "the Auntie Sue room" when we moved in. I took the girls with me to pick her up at the airport (my first time driving down by myself and I didn't get lost!). Our evening ended with the weekend's most popular activity--reading! Auntie Sue read to the girls the entire time. It was heaven!
