Oh how I love thee, SCV

Sure, your housing prices are insane. Sure, it's a million degrees this week. Sure, it sometimes takes fifteen minutes to get through the intersection at Bouquet/Valencia/San Fernando/Soledad. But Saturday night, you reminded me why I'm still here. We went to the Concert in the Park with family. We ate KFC on a picnic blanket on the grass. We listened to the SCV Symphony play Broadway. Bluegrass, and Patriotic music. By 8:00, it cooled down to . . . I don't know what, but this prego lady was in heaven. You could chat and play games and get up from your lawn chair whenever you wanted even if it was to chase the kiddies around. There was no line for the bathroom. And best of all, it was all FREE! Take that Hollywood Bowl! (Don't get me wrong, I still love you, HB but this was just in a different league!)

The jealousy of it all. I was at a Ranger's game last night and listened to the entire stadium sing "deep in the heart of Texas." Sure, that's got it's charm but it'll never measure up to either the HB OR the SCV. But, it did manage to keep both the hubbies and the kids entertained so I can't really complain, right?

Yes, that was the best! Too bad the other musical selections this season aren't as recognizable to me.
