So Day One of being a
SAHM was a success. The highlight was Monday. Mark was home and we all went to Bridgeport Lake to see the ducks. There were lots of baby ducks which were very cute but they didn't come very close. Aurora was a little sad about that.

Aurora
preferred pushing the stroller to riding in it. Which brings me to my current dilemma--do I buy a double stroller or a sit-and-stand? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I've been researching for four months and am still stumped.

After the lake, we visited Nana at work at the hospital. She's a Labor/Nursery nurse at Henry Mayo and it was good to stop in to see all the nurses. We got to know them really well the last time. Hopefully this time will be a little quicker. We told them to save the Princess Suite for us in about three months.
Next was lunch at
Buon Gusto. We had a gift certificate from
Restaurant.com that we had been wanting to use since November. It was quite delicious. Aurora loved the
gelato--I've never seen her mouth open so wide and so fast. What can I say, it's in her blood.
At the end of the day, I told Mark, "This must be what families do on the weekend." The sad thing is, we had never been able to relax and enjoy time together. That is definitely going to change.

Hi Carrie...I just found your blog! Hooray!!! Anyway, I would suggest getting a double stroller. From what I have heard, the sit-and-stands are hard to push because all the weight is in the front. Also, keep your single stroller, just in case you have those trips when you only need to put one of them in. I have a double jogger, and love it. But, whether you get a jogger or not, the best kind of double stroller's are the side by sides. The tandem ones are way to heavy!! Side by sides are much lighter, and take up less room in the trunk!! Good luck!! Hope that helped!!
Congrats on the new baby on the way and the new blog and the new staying-at-home gig! I have also heard good things about the double jogger strollers. I have a double front/back one (I think it was a Kolcraft Kmart special), and I'm used to it but whenever anyone else uses it they comment on how it is heavy and difficult to turn. But, it was cheap and it's lasted for four years now. I think Aurora is still young enough that you'll probably want a double stroller instead of a sit/stand. But, I don't know much about those.
Hi Carrie, congratulations on your first good day!
I also recommend a double stroller, my kids STILL want to ride in it, and I'm glad I have it. I also like one that is not side by side, they are harder to maneuver and allow for more sibling rivalry. But from what I've heard about Aurora, maybe that won't be an issue for you!
If you buy a jog stroller, find one with a front wheel that can swivel or lock, it makes it much more versatile.
