You may be wondering where I came up with the title of my blog, Wisteria and Sunshine. My senior year at BYU, my favorite professor, Sharon Swenson told me her favorite movie was The Enchanted April. I fell in love the movie and the book by Elizabeth von Arnim about four very different English women who answer an ad in the newspaper "For those who love wisteria and sunshine. . . Small Italian Castle to let for the month of April." Having served my mission in Italy, I know how enchanting the country can be. The book reminds me to make my life a "vacation" where I can find joy, tranquility, and good friends.
In honor of becoming a SAHM in the month of April, I hope that my postings on this blog will remind me to make my life "enchanted."
