America Week

This week we talked about America of course since it was week of the Fourth of July.  All of the pictures came from the day of.  We had a ward breakfast and parade so we decked out in our patriotic finest!

The girls got their faces painted.

The big parade.  One day this week was spent decorating their bikes!

We went swimming and barbequing at our friends, the Lindeman's, down the street. They requested the fruit pasta salad I made for Memorial Day.  I found these really cute star ravioli at Costco so I hoped they would work.  It turned out just okay.

Mark had to work that night (ugh) and there was no way I was attempting to take all the girls to see fireworks by myself (especially since they don't start until after 9:00!) so we watched them on TV and made some of our own while listening to plenty of patriotic music.

This week we also looked at a map and talked about the route we would take to California, next week!
