Molasses-Glazed Chicken
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
4 Tbsp molasses
2 cloves garlic, crushed
4 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/4 tsp salt
4 chicken breasts
Stir together ketchup, vinegar, molasses, garlic, soy sauce, Tobasco and salt in a large bowl. Add chicken and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Pour marinade into a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes, or until mixture is almost as thick as ketchup.
Preheat oven to 450. Remove chicken from marinade and arrange on a roasting rack. Roast about 30 minutes or until done. Brush with marinade every 10 minutes and turn chicken pieces once or twice during cooking.
The story of Strawberries, Sour Cream and Brown Sugar
Once upon a time when I was a little girl, the Walch Family used to come over for Family Home Evening. They were kind of our "big sister family." They had lots of kids, most older than us, who would babysit us and pass down their clothes. I had a big crush on Johnathan, the son my age, for years. We were Primary square dance partners. Anyway, one time for Family Home Evening Treat they brought over Strawberries, Sour Cream and Brown Sugar, which is just dipping a whole strawberry in sour cream and then brown sugar. Sounds weird, I know, but is absolutely delicious. And tonight I carried on the tradition with my daughter, who of course loves it just as much as I do.

Ahh. Glad to see the tradition continue. I need to just let go of my fear of "messy" & let Spencer have a go instead of waiting until after he's asleep.
And Molasses Chicken? HeLLO! Yum! I'm so there!
Thats hilarious. Ryans family taught me about the dipping strawberry's in sour cream and brown sugar. A at first I thought it was totally wierd but now I love it. We had it as a treat Sunday night. :)
Primary square dance partners...SO cute. I love that recipe though. I'm going to have to try it.
